THE VIEW
Looking across the channel toward the public boat launch and kayak launch. Brown pelicans dive for fish here and cormorants dry their wings on the rocks. Great blue herons stalk the shallows, and sea lions and harbor seals surface between the docks. Mallards drift through the marina and grebes work the channel. Frank, our resident great blue heron, usually naps on a neighbor's sailboat. The stained glass in the foreground is digital and keeps a couple of neighbors' boats off camera.

Channel Islands Rowing Club crews practice here. Hopper Boat Rentals, fishing charters, sailboats, and Duffy boats move through the channel all day. At night: stars, harbor lights on the water, planes overhead.
