Utopia Village Underwater Reef Camera – Utila, Honduras

The cameras are installed 320+ ft from shore at a depth of 20-30 ft, in sandy channels leading to the reef wall that drops 120 ft to the ocean floor. Special things to keep a look-out for here include Eagle Rays, Stingrays, Moray Eels, Turtles, Sharks and various kinds of Snappers and Groupers.

@utopiavillage3615 is located on the south shore of Utila, the smallest of the Bay Islands, off the northern coast of Honduras in the western Caribbean. It sits on a white sand and coral beach, surrounded by green jungle, turquoise waters and the beautiful Meso-American reef that comes right up to its shore. Before Covid-19 it was the #1-rated dive resort on Utila, but since then it has been refocused to be a permanent home for our staff and their families, as well as a base for local marine research and conservation non-profits.
