Visible in the view are, from right to left, the NASA Infrared Telescope Facility (IRTF), W. M. Keck Observatory (Keck 2 and Keck 1), Subaru telescope (National Astronomical Observatory of Japan), the Submillimeter Array, and the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope.

This live camera captures the night sky from one of the world's premier astronomical observatory sites atop Maunakea's 13,796-foot summit. Watch in real-time for meteors, constellations, celestial events, and the silhouettes of world-class research telescopes against the starry Hawaiian sky. Maunakea is the land of the kānaka maoli people and holds considerable cultural, natural, and ecological significance to the Native Hawaiian people.
