Aurora Cam - Sunshine Village, Banff

Overnight the camera gives you a live view of the dark night sky to the north above Sunshine Village outside Banff, Alberta. During periods of increased solar activity you may observe the northern lights dancing in the sky above Wawa Ridge and Mt Bourgeau.

The Kp value is a value of how active the geomagnetic activity is. The higher the figure the more active and more likely aurora is to appear, visibility usually starting at around 5.

Watch for the northern lights from this high-elevation vantage point in the Canadian Rockies.
