Welcome to the Moose and Loon camera, located on West Pond, Ebeemee Me. There are cottages/camps on the lake, so we restrict the amount of area we show to respect the privacy of the residents.
Here you will see moose, deer, beavers, muskrats, otters, turtles, loons including chicks, eagles, foxes, ospreys, coyotes and other wildlife, plus great sunsets. You will see and hear loon calls, ducks, geese, songbirds and spring peepers.
In 2020 we enjoyed 37 moose sightings starting June 1.
In 2021 we enjoyed 48 moose sightings starting May 18.
In 2022 we enjoyed 41 moose sightings starting May 20.
In 2023 we enjoyed 20 moose sightings starting May 24.
In 2024 we enjoyed 36 moose sightings starting May 16.
In 2025 we enjoyed 29 moose sightings starting May 13.
We occasionally scan the shoreline for moose, and also watch nesting loons and then follow the family on the lake, if possible.
You may enjoy our cameras on the Wildlife of Maine channel: Eagle, Scenic Katahdin, Wildlife, Moose and Loon as well as the Pond Cam.
This live camera captures the natural beauty and abundant wildlife of a pristine Maine lake. Watch for moose wading in the shallows, nesting loons with their haunting calls, and a rotating cast of deer, eagles, otters, beavers, and waterfowl throughout the seasons. The vantage point offers genuine, unscripted wildlife encounters with excellent opportunities to witness moose in their natural habitat and observe loon families raise their young on the water.
