If you see an animal with a wound or lesion (deer, rabbit, javelina, cow, addax, bird, coyote, WHATEVER) PLEASE tag the time in the video and notify us via one of our social channels below.
New World Screwworm has been detected for the first time in 60 years in the United States just a little bit more than 40km from Las Raices and is no doubt on the landscape.

Welcome to Las Raices Ranch! We are located in Webb County of South Texas.
These cameras (we cycle through over 10 currently with AI animal identification) are spread over 4000+ acres in the heart of the "Golden Triangle" of the South Texas Brush Country! For example, the "Laguna" cam is 4 miles from the "14" camera. On the deer front, on last count over 900 deer reside on the property. Most of the daytime mammal viewing in the spring and summer happens in the morning and evening (though we do have a curious ground squirrel or two at the lodge that like to show up all day long). We have lights that stay on all night, so when the deer, javelina, rabbits, hogs, raccoons and other more nocturnal visitors are there, we can watch them!
