CSX Mainline – Cumberland South (PTZ)

Virtual Railfan's LIVE train cameras in Cumberland, Maryland, capture two mainline perspectives. Our primary "downtown" PTZ camera, hosted by The Kensington apartment building, overlooks Cumberland Station and showcases the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad's steam and diesel excursions — over 20 weekly to Frostburg — plus CSX mainline freight. Our "Cumberland South" PTZ camera is hosted by the Cumberland Outdoor Club, overlooking the CSX Cumberland Terminal Sub, and featuring freight and Amtrak's Capitol Limited twice daily.

This camera provides a south-facing view of the CSX mainline and Cumberland rail yard from an elevated position, capturing Western Maryland Scenic Railroad excursion trains, CSX freight operations, and Amtrak passenger service. The vantage point overlooks active rail infrastructure with historic brick buildings and terminal facilities visible in the background, making it ideal for tracking train movements, yard operations, and the region's busy rail traffic throughout the day.
