「猫島」として知られる熊本県上天草市の離島・湯島からライブ中継。熊本日日新聞社が上天草市の協力で開設しています。

～湯島について～
湯島は有明海に浮かぶ周囲4kmの離島で、人口約200人より多い約250匹の猫が暮らしている。島民が猫一匹一匹に名前を付け、ワクチン接種や去勢・不妊手術を含む健康管理をするなどして、「人と猫の共生」を掲げている。

This fixed-point camera captures the daily life of approximately 250 cats living on Yushima, a remote 4-kilometer island in the Ariake Sea. Watch the island's feline residents interact naturally in their managed habitat, where local residents provide individual care including vaccinations and health management as part of a human-cat cohabitation program. The peaceful setting and animal activity offer a uniquely relaxing view of island life and responsible animal stewardship.
