Welcome to the University of Waterloo Coldwater Marine Aquarium Cam!
This a live stream of our coldwater marine aquarium, which houses numerous invertebrates (and one fish!) collected from the Salish Sea in British Columbia. This aquarium is located in the Biology Department (Biology 2 building) and can be seen in person from the STC atrium (near the main front doors).
The underwater live camera used for this stream as well as aquarium equipment were funded by WatSEF.
Watch live as bioluminescent sea anemones and other marine creatures from the Salish Sea thrive in this specialized coldwater habitat. The camera provides an intimate look at the intricate ecosystems and behaviors of invertebrates in a carefully maintained university research and display aquarium—a unique window into Pacific coastal marine life right on campus.
