Osprey Nest at Loch Garten, Abernethy Forest

Streaming 24/7 1 views this week Added JUL 2026

Nestled in the Abernethy Forest is RSPB Loch Garten, home to a world-famous Osprey nest. In the early 20th century, Ospreys became extinct in the UK following many years of persecution and egg-collecting. In 1954, a pair of Scandinavian birds set up a nest by the loch - and so the recolonisation of these birds began.

Take a look at our camera to catch up with Ospreys as they build bonds, squabble and feast on fish. You might even catch a glimpse of Redstarts, Chaffinches and more of the surrounding Caledonian pine forest wildlife.

Watch live as ospreys tend their massive stick nest overlooking the loch, hunting for fish and raising their young against the backdrop of Scotland's wild boreal forest. This is one of the UK's most iconic wildlife cameras, documenting the remarkable return of these magnificent raptors to British skies after decades of absence.
