Dublin Port Poolbeg Lighthouse: Live Ship Movements

Streaming 24/7 1 views this week Added JUL 2026

Dublin Port is the largest and busiest port in Ireland, with some €165bn billion of trade and 1.6 million ferry passengers each year. There has been a port in Dublin since the 1700's, situated in what is now the thriving UNESCO biosphere of Dublin Bay. An integral part of Dublin city, the port welcomes thousands of visitors a year to the Great South Wall, the Greenway and to events in our Pumphouse and Substation. Welcome to the hardworking heart of Dublin.

The Dublin Port live streams provide real-time views of Dublin Port, highlighting the movement of ships, cranes, and port operations. The camera on the Poolbeg Lighthouse facing into Dublin Port towards Dublin City captures the activity along the River Liffey at the Great South Wall with views of vessels both entering and exiting Dublin Port. When vessels pass this camera and go out of view you can pick them up at the next point on their journey on the 'Dublin Bay Camera': https://www.youtube.com/live/oxx7MqjhOpw?si=eA2uwDniFNtQVG1m

The Poolbeg stream also has a unique data integration feature, providing Arrivals and Departures information, high and low tides and weather information.

The shipping channel is sheltered by the breakwaters of the Great South Wall and North Bull Wall, as well as by surrounding structures. Combined with the elevated position and resolution of the cameras, this often makes the water appear calmer here than in less sheltered areas, even during severe weather conditions. The cameras provide a clear and detailed view of port activities but may not fully convey weather conditions experienced in other parts of the city or coastline.
